Educational program
Workshops at HKW will encourage artistic, creative exploration of stories of refuge and arrival, translating them into spoken word performances, chat threads, written essays and stories or virtual worlds. The workshops are for children and adults as well as educators and policymakers.
Audience discussions with civil society actors from education, art, culture, science, policymaking and activism explore how questions of home, exile and migration give rise to new spaces for shaping society. How can antiracism be successfully moored in policies? How can multiple voices be heard at turntables and microphones? In what cultural policy realities do post-migrant debates take place? In short: Who designs spaces for what purpose?
The association for media education mediale pfade has developed digital workshop materials for educators especially for the Archive of Refuge.
