Place and Space
Place and Space asks how different materials from various forms of research communicate with each other. In making their similarities and differences more apparent, how can these materials highlight their relations in a manner that enriches their trajectories?
The experimental format of this event negotiates the conceptual and practical relationships between research materials, several examples of which are laid out on a large table during this long-form discussion. Five contributors from different disciplines then engage in a dialogue while in the presence of these materials, which come from their respective case studies. In engaging with the materials in relation to one another, the participants attempt to bypass their haptic and aesthetic qualities and instead focus on anchoring each particular research process in a specific place and for a particular purpose.
