The non-governmental organization UMAM D&R (documentation and research) contributes to the ongoing debate over Lebanon’s memory by collecting and analyzing historical materials covering facets of Lebanese diverse collective memory in open-access archives. One of its collections is composed of audio-visual and written material UMAM D&R salvaged from Baalbeck Studios, a seminal movie production company that operated in Lebanon between 1963 and 1994.
