Talks and diskussion
Joschka Fischer and Peter Sloterdijk
Joschka Fischer
If it is basically correct to assume, as the former German foreign minister argues in his latest book, “that objective circumstances compel global state and economic systems to co-operate ever more closely with one another ... then the two categories – security and sovereignty that are derived from this – will assume the concrete form of co-operative institutions and co-operative forms of sovereignty.”* Jochka Fischer leads a seminar on “International Crisis Diplomacy” at Princeton.

Prof. Peter Sloterdijk
In preparation for this lecture, Prof. Peter Sloterdijk (philosopher and principal of the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe) whose impact goes way beyond his media presence, wrote the following: “Where relationships are ‘international’ they are generally inter-megalomaniac too. In the context of a renewed effort to create a political psychology, we grasp the language of diplomacy as a therapeutic discourse in an open institution that is the political collective.” His numerous publications include: Kritik der zynischen Vernunft: Falls Europa erwacht, Im Weltinnenraum de Kapitals“ and his latest work, Zorn und Zeit. Politisch-psychologischer Versuch.
