Carl Michael von Hausswolff and Leif Elggren, Sweden
The two men who created the Kingdom of KREV in 1992, which is composed of all the geographical, mental and digital border zones imaginable, invite all living creatures to become citizens of their state. In his conceptual art, Leif Elggren combines audio and visual worlds. He writes and composes, is part of the duet “Sons of God”, and founds institutions. Carl Michael von Hausswolff’s favourite instrument is the sampler. He is also an exhibition-maker and fine artist. In 2001, he and Leif Elggren jointly developed a project for the Nordic Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
Hans Ulrich Obrist, London, has curated a great number of exhibitions, including "Utopia Station" at the Venice Biennale in 2003. Since the beginning of the year, he has co-directed exhibitions and programmes and served as director of international projects at the Serpentine Gallery in London.
Erik Bünger, Berlin - Sweden. In his performances, installations and network projections, musician Erik Büncer recontextualises and remixes music and film elements. Here, he will be reinventing the national anthem by KREV.
KABUKABU (ex-Rhythmtaxi), Berlin - Ghana/Cuba/Poland/Nigeria. The heirs of Fela Kuti intone the hymns to a background of funk drums, jazz harmonies, Nkrumah and Yoruba traditions.
Klezmer Chidesch, Berlin. “Klezmer Wunder” combines Eastern European intonation with the clarinet, cymbal, accordion, double bass and vocals.
Graham Lewis, Sweden – Great Britain. The founder of the experimental punk band Wire and von H.A.L.O., he is constantly launching new sound projects.
Carsten Nicolai, Berlin – Chemnitz. Artist Carsten Nicolai tries to overcome the separation between the different forms of perception, and explores the interfaces between art, nature and science. He has recorded a national anthem CD for the Kingdom of Elgaland-Vargaland.
