Quarry & Love Letters

The film “Quarry” by Amie Siegel traces the connection between two paradoxical sorts of interiors: one, the cave-like Danby marble quarry in Vermont, the largest underground facility of its kind; the other, showrooms for new Manhattan luxury high-rise residential developments in which the quarry’s white marble is deployed.

Siegel’s project reveals the uncanny, complementary relationship between these two types of interiors. Amie Siegel will talk with Nikolaus Hirsch about her latest work which was commissioned for the Wohnungsfrage exhibition.
