Conference
Latin America on the Move
Conference on Latin America and the Caribbean, Berlin, 2011
Latin America is going through a process of transformation. Economic and democratic structures are largely well-established. Time to take stock: players from politics, business, culture and society gather to discuss new contexts and common values and interests in the light of the concept for Latin America and the Caribbean adopted in August 2010 by the German government.
The issues include: how can mega-cities be made more livable? What significance does the culture of remembrance have in contemporary society? What holds societies together in this age of migration? The Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Guido Westerwelle, will conclude the conference program. Reservations: lak2011@hkw.de'); $crypt->output(); ?>
