The famous dropout and Blogger Prometheus is plunged into an existential crisis by the threat of having his online profile deleted. Suddenly, he faces the prospect of being deprived of an essential part of his identity, without any explanation of the economic or political motives for the move. The film “Alice 5.0“ by Patrick Doberenz and Philipp Enders creates this fictitious scenario by assembling statements by real-life figures from the worlds of business and science and perplexes the viewer with a vexing puzzle: what is vision, and what is reality? What is documentary, what is staged?
