In his novel "Solo", Rana Dasgupta looks at the question of whether everyone carries knowledge inside themselves which could be of use to the whole human race. During a daydream, a centenarian Bulgarian overcomes the pressures of the past and creates a new life for himself, in which all paths are open to him, and in which his talents and creativity can blossom freely.
