Gallery to Go Extra

View art, take a walk, and try your hand at being an artist – you will get the chance to do all of this in our upcoming workshop. Children and adults create their own gallery with photographs, drawings and sound recordings made during visits to both museums.

Shadow Chasing for children from 5 to 12 years - Workshop with Anja Sommer

We will explore the interesting, funny and even spooky shadows in Tadashi Kawamata’s tree huts and dwellings. We will conjure and capture new shadows from the exhibition, using flashlights, paper and pens and a tricky Tangram.

From the Hamburger Bahnhof to the Haus der Kulturen der Welt: children and adults are invited to create their own gallery from exhibitions presented at both houses.

For adults: Nov. 8, 3pm – 7pm

For the entire family: Nov. 15, 11am – 2pm

Children aged 6 and upwards: Nov. 22, 11am – 2pm

School classes: by prior arrangement

Meeting point Hamburger Bahnhof museum counter – ends at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt

Workshop participation fee: € 3 plus admission

Contribution towards expenses for school classes: € 50 per class incl. material and admission
