Workshop
Gallery to Go Extra
From Hamburger Bahnhof to Haus der Kulturen der Welt
View art, take a walk, and try your hand at being an artist – you will get the chance to do all of this in our upcoming workshop. Children and adults create their own gallery with photographs, drawings and sound recordings made during visits to both museums.
Tears Floating on the Moon
The moment we change our point of view, things around us take on a different significance. Following this observation, artist Qui Zhijie noted that if tears were weightless on the moon, they would float. As we walk through the exhibition, objects such as mirrors, flashlights and magnifying glasses enable us to view tree houses and space images from a different perspective. As we do so, we discover stories and learn more about China. We can record our personal way of seeing things through small sketches that will make their way into the "gallery to go."
