During the past ten years, the African dance scene has changed dramatically. We can now witness the unique new dynamics in its artistic development, the central questions it is raising about dance, and about art in general, in Africa. How can the encounter with traditional forms succeed? And how are the rapid changes in concepts of identity expressed?
