Expert-led Tour with Philipp Oswalt
On Sundays, curators, architects and urban activists such as Matthias Böttger, Francesca Ferguson, Mathias Heyden, Barbara Meyer, and Philipp Oswalt are conducting guided tours and offering keen insights into the exhibition.
Philipp Oswalt, born 1964, is an architect and journalist. From 1988 to 1994, he was editor of the architecture journal ARCH+, and in 1996/97, worked at the office OMA/Rem Koolhaas. From 2001 to 2003, he was co-director of the European research project Urban Catalyst, which he himself initiated, and from 2002 to 2008, he headed the project Schrumpfende Städte run by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes. In 2004, he was co-initiator and co-curator of the project ZwischenPalastNutzung/Volkspalast, to make temporary cultural use of the Palast der Republik. Since fall 2006, he has been Professor for Architectural Theory and Planning at Kassel University. From 2009 to 2014, he was director of the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau.
