Why cats? Because they can be seen as the possible winners of the Anthropocene. In contrast to the rat, a competitor in worldwide distribution and adaptability, the cat is not only already the star of the Internet, but also has its own winning characteristics over the long-term perspective. Co-resident around the world with the human being, fed and housed, they are perfectly adapted to the human, and yet still have something wild about them, so that they can easily adapt to living on their own in the wilderness. Geologists even attribute fat fed sofa tigers: the best chances for survival in the Anthropocene. With or without humanity. At least until the absolute catastrophe.
