Tania Bruguera
Tania Bruguera is a politically motivated performance artist. She explores the relationship between art, activism and social change through works that examine the social effects of political and economic power. Bruguera has developed long-term projects that include a community center and a political party for immigrants. She received a Guggenheim Foundation fellowship in 1998. Her work has been exhibited across South and North America and in Europe.
