Maria Alexopoulou

Maria Alexopoulou is a historian with a research focus on contemporary history. She is currently writing her postdoctoral thesis on the effects of racism on Germany’s immigration society. She is a research associate at the Center for Research on Antisemitism at the Technische Universität Berlin and project manager at the Berlin location of the Forschungsinstitut Gesellschaftlicher Zusammenhalt, a research institute on societal cohesion. Her publications include Deutschland und die Migration (2020), that tells the story of migration in Germany from the perspective of immigrants.
