Alpa Shah ist Professorin für Anthropologie an der London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) und leitet einen Forschungsschwerpunkt zu Global Economies of Care am LSE International Inequalities Institute. Ihr Buch Nightmarch: Among India’s Revolutionary Guerillas (2019) gewann den Buchpreis der Association for Political and Legal Anthropology und war für den Orwell Prize for Political Writing und den New India Foundation Book Prize nominiert.
