ArtUP! presents future past - past future

ArtUP! is a platform for media art in Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. It fuels discussion about society, presents and links up artists, presents media artworks, curates exhibitions, and initiates workshops. For this year’s festival ArtUP! and transmediale present the exhibition future past - past future. 12 artists from Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey explore past, present and future utopias in times of social, economic and political crisis, in times of spreading poverty, corruption and mistrust towards democratic processes. In this panel we will introduce the ArtUP! platform and discuss together with the ArtUP! initiators, curator and artists of the current exhibition about the social and political role of media art in Southeast Europe.
