Day 1

FESTIWALLA grapples with the crisis in education, the power of images and the devices of delusion – in youth theater productions, performances, workshops on the theme of “Art, Control and Counterculture” and in “Walla–What–Democracy?!” forums. FESTIWALLA creates space for young people to take initiative, exchange ideas, explore alternatives and make their views heard. Also at FESTIWALLA: the KulTür auf! forum “Who does culture belong to?” in which representatives of youth culture and “high culture” join forces to fight for broader access to cultural institutions.
