The composer Christopher Cerf was appalled to learn that one of his over 200 supposedly innocent compositions for Sesame Street was used to wear down prisoners in Guantánamo. With the filmmaker Tristan Chytroscheck, he visited interrogation specialists, soldiers and torture victims, as well as Drowning Pool, a band highly esteemed among US soldiers. And Cerf put himself through an experiment… An unsettling update on the ancient alliance of war and music, and winner of the 2012 Emmy Award for best documentary film.
