The body is probably the most important projection surface for any description of beauty. Which image of the body serves as the starting point? - asks Akira Kasai, Japanese dancer/choreographer, and one of the leading protagonists of Butoh.
In a research process involving six dancers from Europe, Asia and Africa, Akira Kasai deals with different body images and notions of the body: the body as form, the body as energy, and identity arising through movement. Akira Kasai introduces the project with a public lecture.
