In their own unique ways, the films in this programme deal with the relationship between the living and the dead. The video Mother Father is Dead is a cool re-enactment of confusion around the death of one of the protagonists in the series Dallas. Similarly comical is the work Parallel Worlds, which investigates the overlapping coexistences of the mediumistic and the real. 04302011 documents the defective attempts to capture images of living faces using a 3D scanner. Finally, in Haukka-Pala, the artist draws nearer to her deceased mother via her TV nutrition shows.
