The curator of “Art, Architecture and Ideology“, Valerie Smith, director of the visual arts section at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, gets the year and the architectural discourse off to a start with questions to German and international architecture academies.
How are would-be-architects trained and educated today? What aspects are emphasized by universities and educational institutions? To what extent is there a link between art and architecture during the training and education process? What effects do training have on the architectural future in Berlin?
