Anilda Ibrahimi on life of a family in an Albanian mountain village (Italy / Albania)

Anilda Ibrahimi was born in Albania but currently lives in Italy. Her book "Rot wie eine Braut" (tr: Blushing like a Bride) gives us an insight into the archaic family structure in Albania. The protagonist, who has left home, remembers from a distance the life of her family in a small mountain village. She portrays three women from three generations and shows the journey from rural life to a modern society. In Co-operation with the Italian Cultural Institute Berlin.
