A clandestine love leads to an unsolvable dilemma: Lina has always been the strictly guarded apple of her father's eye. When she meets Anil, a rich, educated, liberal, architecture student from Kenya's Asian community, everything changes for her. Although their two lives, backgrounds, political attitudes and religious affiliations could not be any more different, she allows the relationship to happen. The double life that she is then forced to live threatens to tear apart not only her family but the couple as well.
