Jenny Brosinski (Germany) presents her children's book "Die Bürgschaft" (t: The hostage)

The story of Damon, who left home to rid his land of the rule of tyranny, ended up in prison and left his best friend there as collateral for his return, is well-known. With her light and delicate watercolour illustrations, the young artist has reinterpreted the Friedrich Schiller's classic ballad of friendship and trust. In her pictures, she tells the story of the race against time and creates a picture-world full of details that inspire us to examine every image closely.
