The Spaniard can speak just as poetically on childlike curiosity in the creative process and the resulting failures, doubts and half-successes on the way to a completed work as he can about a boy who runs from the rain and ends up in an abandoned house. Here the boy realizes that emptiness does not mean the absence, but rather that he has already left traces of his presence behind and filled the seemingly abandoned rooms with life.
