Jaroslav Hasek (1883-1923)

The good Soldier Sveijk plays with the concept of obedience. His favourite read: the wishes in his superiors' eyes. He destroys them with his obedience. As "Editor Svejk" of the magazine "The World of Animals" Hasek played with science. He discovered lots of unknown animals and astounded the scientific world. When he was uncovered to be a fraud, he was fired. The magazine, whose scientific reputation he had utterly ruined, had to cease publication.
