One of the most enduring legends about the Third Reich is the claim that the Foreign Office had been a stronghold of resistance during the Nazi era. Many files, accessible in part for the first time, show how representatives of the Foreign Service actually behaved when Hitler came to power.
The independent historical Commission, appointed by Joschka Fischer in 2005, presents their report together with the two ministers who were in office during the work of the Commission: Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Joschka Fischer.
An event by Blessing Verlag in cooperation with the Haus der Kulturen der Welt
