Mangi doesn’t suffer only from the disabilities she was born with because her pregnant mother had been tortured by apartheid thugs. She also suffers from the silence about the story. Mangi’s trauma only begins to dissolve when she starts embroidering a "Zulu Love Letter,” which tells her story through the arrangement of the beads and fabric applications.
The film won an award at the International Film Festival Durban.
