Jürgen Teipel

Jürgen Teipel – best known for his German Punk and New Wave docu-novel Verschwende deine Jugend (Waste Your Youth), (Suhrkamp, 2001) reads from his new novel Ich weiß nicht (I Don’t Know): an explosive ménage à trois is supposed to DJ at a techno festival in Mexico City, but end up on a peyote trip in the Mexican desert instead.

Jurgen Teipel started his writing career with his punk fanzine "puppet.” He has organized concerts with bands such as Malaria! and the Toten Hosen; he was a DJ and organized exhibitions. Teipel writes for "Spex", "Rolling Stone", "Spiegel" and "Zeit".
