A musical road movie: Determined to finally realize his life’s dream, the Cuban street musician El Gallo travels across the entire island. Now that he’s turned 76, the Gitarrero follows in the footsteps of the great musical legends of his homeland. On the road, he meets jazz musicians and rappers from the slums, bolero singers and salsa stars. El Gallo’s trip is also a journey to himself- life is not nearly as funny as in the drinking songs, nor as sweet as in the ballads.
