The role of European institutions in the production of African films is unquestioned. Recently, ARTE in particular has produced films devoted to such topics as globalisation, human rights and economic justice. The Panel brings producers, festival directors, academics and film-makers together around a table where they will discuss the problems facing African film-producers and find ways of promoting indigenous African producers.
