In his book Der Seemann (the seaman), which looks at the colourful myths surrounding these men, Timo Heimerdinger encounters Folkert Janssen. The director of the Deutsche Seemannsmission Rostock and former sailor tells vivid tales of globalised seafaring from his own experience.
