Massa de Sentidos is a concentrated reflection on the theme of femininity, with symbols like scarlet pastry, which– in diverse forms – becomes a part of the body. Through the purposeful slowness of its movements, the naked body itself almost seems to become an object. Marcela Levi, who was once a formative member of the company of Brazilian choreographer Lia Rodriguez, transcends the boundary between performing and visual arts. Her performances, which she calls ‘choreographic investigations and experiments’, are resolved in stills of enormous suggestive power.
