The Moritz Von Oswald Trio feat. Laurel Halo and Heinrich Koebberling

Repetitive rhythms may be a mark of Moritz Von Oswald’s music, but the dub techno pioneer never repeats himself. Since the late noughties, the Basic Channel and Rhythm & Sound co-founder has been rethinking his musical project in the ever-changing constellations of his Moritz Von Oswald Trio. Now, in association with experimental musician Laurel Halo and jazz drummer Heinrich Koebberling, he presents his freshly released first album in six years. Dissent brings together techno, dub, noise and jazz to think them further: repetitive yet always different.

Adir Jan

Adir Jan describes his music as “Cosmopolitan Kurdesque.” What that means? That words in Zaza, Kurmanji and Turkish flow through the microphone and merge over funky rhythms from the Mediterranean and east of it on the tanbur. On his debut LP Leyla, the songwriter explores gay love, passion and pain, and socio-political issues: a spectrum of topics as broad as the range of musical influences Jan brings to the stage together with singer and multi-instrumentalist Ermahn Gökmen and percussionist Hogir Göregen.
