Bernadette La Hengst

Bernadette La Hengst is one of the most critical voices of German-speaking indie pop – but also one of the most constructive. Most recently, she rewrote the European anthem as an appeal for solidarity, open borders and freedom of art – among others with the Chor der Kulturen der Welt. These are topics that also shaped her last album Wir sind die Vielen (We Are the Many). Whether solo or with others, on the theater or concert stage, Bernadette La Hengst wants nothing less than to create a better world.

Tara Nome Doyle

Its title Alchemy describes exactly what Tara Nome Doyle is doing on her debut album: The songwriter blends dramatic pop, elements from folk and set pieces of electronic music so they react with each other in a way that borders on magic. The music is intimate but amounts to more than the personal; it uncovers the unconscious and transforms it into larger-than-life songs.
