Fingernails are perfect surfaces for experimental prosthetics. Inspired by magnetic implants under the skin, a fingernail-mounted neodymium magnet becomes a sensory extension. Electromagnetic waves can be perceived with the magnetic fingernails and metallic objects temporarily attached to the fingernail.
