An evening devoted to art and politics, in play and in earnest

The exhibition The Most Dangerous Game: The Situationist International en route to May ’68 is an opportunity to illuminate the gray areas between art and politics, playfulness and earnestness: How far can artistic freedom go in the political arena? Are games suitable subversive techniques for addressing serious issues? Should politics have artistic aspirations? What happens when artists use methods of propaganda? Invited guests will play through these and other questions in front of and with the audience. Also, the Invisible Playground artists’ network invites visitors to take part in an intervention with an urban gaming course in and around HKW.

The exhibition is open until 11pm. Cultural science students from the University of Potsdam will be available as dialogue partners in the exhibition hall.
