Blues against tyranny: After the Islamist militias seized power in northern Mali in 2012, music could only be played behind closed doors.

In exile in Bamako, Aliou, Garba, Oumar Touré and Nathanel Dembelé form a band, commenting in their lyrics on the political situation in their homeland and insisting on their right to sing.

The film They Will Have to Kill Us First tells their story.
