City of Men: episode Saturday is a spin-off of the surprise success, City of God. Meirelles and other directors made seasonal blocks of episodes for a television series about two friends’ lives in a favela in Rio. The focus is not on the drug dealers, but the canny wit of the street kids.

Ginga is the Brazilian ability to raise mastery of the ball to an art form. The documetary follows the fascinating life stories of unknown and famous Brazilian footballers, from a kid in Rio's Rocinha favela to Real Madrid's star Robinho. Produced by Fernando Meirelles.
