Manu Chao and the inventor of the Brazilian Samba-Reggae, Olodum – and that after half a dozen caipirinhas: that’s the sound of Nação Zumbi. The “Scouts des Mangue Punks” the swamp punks, cross strong traditional percussion, strings, guitars, samples, and turntables, fuse Hip Hop, rock, the rhythms of the Samba forerunner Maracatú, Reggae, and Funk. For ten years, Nação Zumbi has been developing an always irresistible dance sound – most recently with DJ legend Afrika Bambaataa.
