Ana Moura
A concert in the series HKW Royal
Ana Moura is one of Portugal's leading fadistas. Since her 2003 debut, Guarda-me a vida na mão, every album the adept singer has released has gone platinum. Internationally, too, she has thrilled audiences and critics from Tel Aviv to Amsterdam, performed with stars such as the Rolling Stones and Prince, and in March 2014 sang at the completely sold-out Cologne Philharmonic.
Her 2012 album Desfado explores new musical territory between fado, jazz, blues, and pop, with guests like legendary jazz pianist Herbie Hancock and Rolling Stones saxophonist Tim Ries, as well as young Portuguese musicians and songwriters. For her concerts, she expands the classic fado guitar trio to include keyboards and drums.
