A little boy lives carefree in a world full of colorful plants, animals and imaginative adventures. Yet one day, his father leaves the family and a steel monster carries him away. The boy sets off in search of him, following a flute melody. His journey takes him through jungles, cotton plantations, favelas, and factories. in powerful collages of images and sound, director Alê Abreu reveals the modern world seen through the eyes of a child: exploitation, pollution, as well as joy, love and magic.
