Regina Bittner
Regina Bittner is an art historian, cultural theorist and curator who has been Deputy Director of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation since 2009. Her research focuses on transcultural modernism in architecture and design and heritage studies. She has curated numerous exhibitions on the architectural, design and cultural history of modernism and the Bauhaus. Recent publications include: Craft becomes Modern: The Bauhaus in the Making (with Renée Padt, 2017); In Reserve: The Household! Historic Models and Contemporary Positions from the Bauhaus (with Elke Krasny, 2016); and The Bauhaus in Calcutta: An Encounter of the Cosmopolitan Avant-Garde (with Kathrin Rhomberg, 2013). Bittner is curatorial advisor for bauhaus imaginista.
