Christian Filips

Christian Filips is a poet, director and music dramaturge living in Berlin. He studied literature, philosophy and musicology in Brussels and Vienna and received the Rimbaud Prize of the Österreichischen Rundfunk in 2001 for his first poems. He has been the program director of the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin since 2006. Since 2013 he has put on musical theater productions and social sculptures, for example at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, in the city of Mumbai and at the Volksbühne Berlin. In his literary work, art religion, psychoanalysis and economic theory enter into a liaison. His most recent publication is Heiße Fusionen: Beta-Album (2018). As a translator he has published works such as Pier Paolo Pasolini’s Dunckler Enthusiasmo (2010).
