Luis Armando Gandin

Luis Armando Gandin is Professor of Sociology of Education at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and currently is a Visiting Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is editor of the journals Educação & Realidade and Currículo sem Fronteiras. Among his books are The Routledge International Handbook of Critical Education (2009) and The Routledge International Handbook of the Sociology of Education (2009). His research is on educational policy and reforms, curriculum, and democratic education, especially the Citizen School Project in Porto Alegre (Brazil).
