Jasmin Ibrahim

Jasmin Ibrahim is a member of the management team of the Jugendtheaterbüro Berlin (JTB). Since 2009 the JTB has produced theatre on self-selected themes, combining artistic and cultural action with political education, campaign work, and the development of an alternative, community based theatre in the Moabit neighborhood, the Theater X. Once a year the initiative stages the youth theatre festival FESTIWALLA – a self-organized platform from and for young artists. In the alliance KulTür auf! the association, together with young people and representatives from the major theatres of Berlin, campaigns for a sustained opening of the cultural sector. The alliance was awarded the BKM Prize for Cultural Education of the German Federal Minister for Culture and the Media in 2015.
