The "Mars operetta" is a kind of remake of an abysmally bad Mexican science fiction movie from the sixties: "The Blue Demon vs the women invaders. Seduction wearing a lurex dress attacks the men’s worlds, teary-eyed Mexican songs play on the soundtrack. One of the best of the worst, a bizarre grotesque, in which the three Travestidos, who perform in front and in the video, are so over the top that any semblance to reality is purely coincidence. Mapa Teatro brilliantly and entertainingly combines deep insight into Latin American popular culture with political and aesthetic issues.
