Lili Lai

Lili Lai is Associate Professor in the School of Health Humanities at Peking University. Her research interests focus on body, everyday life and medical practices. Lai has done extensive ethnographic and interdisciplinary research in North and Southwest China on health-related issues. Her publications include Hygiene, Sociality, and Culture in Contemporary Rural China (2016) and Gathering Medicines: Nation and Knowledge in China’s Mountain South (2021).
